CPNP, MS, RN
Barnitta Moses, CPNP, MS, RN has been practicing in the Takoma Park area since 2009. She joined Milestone Medical in that same year. Her favorite part of being a primary care nurse practitioner is learning and teaching her patients new information and watching her patients grow and develop over the years.
Mrs. Moses graduated from the Union Memorial Hospital diploma program as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1988. After being frustrated with the restrictions of this diploma, she went on to receive her Registered Nurse diploma from Union Memorial in 1995. After working as an RN, she once again realized that what she wanted most was to serve her patient population as a decision maker. She wanted to become responsible for the development of the plan of care for her patients. Therefore, she went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree from University of Maryland in 2007, and her Master's Degree with certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, in 2009. After graduating from the Nurse Practitioner program, she began working at a pediatric office near her home in Randallstown, MD. She started working at Milestone Medical part-time the same year.
Mrs. Moses is an active member of the Maryland and National Chapters of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She volunteers each summer at Camp Possibilities, coordinated by University of Maryland, an overnight camp for children living with insulin dependent diabetes, where she serves as part of the medical staff. Mrs. Moses enjoys roller-skating, bowling, reading and spending time with her husband, children and the family's two cats and two dogs: Phillip, Taiylor, Dallas and Snowball.
